Novena for Moving & Relocation – Day 4: Letting Go
Find grace to release attachments and embrace new beginnings.
Today's Focus: Letting Go
Moving means leaving things behind — familiar streets, beloved neighbors, a church community, perhaps a home full of memories. Grief is a natural part of transition. Today we bring our losses to God and ask for the grace to let go with gratitude rather than bitterness.
Prayer for Day 4
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Prayer for Letting Go:
Lord, I grieve what I am leaving behind. The friendships, the familiar places, the memories made in this home — they are precious to me. Help me to honor these gifts with gratitude rather than cling to them with fear. Give me the grace to say goodbye well, to close this chapter with love, and to open the next with hope.
Scripture Reading:
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be
Closing Prayer:
Father, I release into Your hands everything I am leaving behind. Thank You for the blessings of this season. I trust that what lies ahead is also filled with Your goodness. Help me to move forward with an open heart. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Reflection for Today
Take time today to write a letter of gratitude — to your old home, your old neighborhood, or the community you are leaving. Name the blessings. Thank God for them. This act of gratitude helps transform grief into grace.
Remember: letting go is not forgetting. It is releasing with love what God has given, trusting He will give again.
