Theme: Daily Scripture
“And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness: and my people shall be filled with my good things, saith the Lord.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Jeremiah 31:14: “And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness: and my people shall be filled with my good things, saith the Lord.”
A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. In Jeremiah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Jeremiah 31:14. You said, “And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness: and my people shall be filled…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
