Catholic Verse of the Day

Matthew 28:5

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, June 19, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Peace

PeacePrayer

And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you: for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

Matthew 28:5

Reflection for Today

Let Matthew 28:5 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you: for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.”

Many of us carry quiet fear into work, family, and prayer. This verse does not shame that fear. It invites us to bring it into the light of God. Matthew does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer.

Today's invitation under the theme of Peace is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Matthew 28:5. You said, “And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you: for I know that you seek…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
