Theme: Daily Scripture
“Thou shalt make also fifty buckles of brass, wherewith the loops may be joined, that of all there may be made one covering.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Exodus 26:11: “Thou shalt make also fifty buckles of brass, wherewith the loops may be joined, that of all there may be made one covering.”
A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. Exodus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Exodus 26:11, let “Thou shalt make also fifty buckles of brass, wherewith the loops may be joined, that…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
