Theme: Work & Service

Work & Service

And there shall be no curse any more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it. And his servants shall serve him.

Revelation 22:3

Reflection for Today

Pause with Revelation 22:3. Hear these words again: “And there shall be no curse any more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it. And his servants shall serve him.”

Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned. Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.

Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Revelation 22:3 I hear, “And there shall be no curse any more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
