Theme: Faith
“And I said: Lord, they know that I cast into prison and beat in every synagogue them that believed in thee.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Acts 22:19: “And I said: Lord, they know that I cast into prison and beat in every synagogue them that believed in thee.”
The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Faith is not pretending we have no questions. It is trusting Christ enough to keep walking while the answers are still unfinished.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Acts 22:19. As I listen to “And I said: Lord, they know that I cast into prison and beat in every synagogue them…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
