Catholic Verse of the Day

Luke 22:25

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Wednesday, February 28, 2029, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Strength

And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have power over them are called beneficent.

Luke 22:25

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Luke 22:25: “And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have power over them are called beneficent.”

Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Luke 22:25. You said, “And he said to them: The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and they that have…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
