Theme: Family
“God shall lay up the sorrow of the father for his children: and when he shall repay, then shall he know.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Job 21:19. Hear these words again: “God shall lay up the sorrow of the father for his children: and when he shall repay, then shall he know.”
Job belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Family is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Job 21:19. As I listen to “God shall lay up the sorrow of the father for his children: and when he shall repay,…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
