Theme: Hope & Renewal
“He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am lost, and he hath taken away my hope, as from a tree that is plucked up.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Job 19:10. Hear these words again: “He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am lost, and he hath taken away my hope, as from a tree that is plucked up.”
Job belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Hope & Renewal is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Job 19:10 I hear, “He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am lost, and he hath taken away my hope,…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
