Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Revelation 18:20: “Rejoice over her, thou heaven and ye holy apostles and prophets. For God hath judged your judgment on her.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Revelation 18:20, let “Rejoice over her, thou heaven and ye holy apostles and prophets. For God hath judged…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
