Catholic Verse of the Day

Acts 18:4

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Wednesday, November 22, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus. And he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Acts 18:4

Reflection for Today

Pause with Acts 18:4. Hear these words again: “And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus. And he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.”

The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Acts 18:4. You said, “And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
