Theme: Daily Scripture
“And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: because Jesus had often resorted thither together with his disciples.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with John 18:2. Hear these words again: “And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: because Jesus had often resorted thither together with his disciples.”
The Church treasures John because the Gospel is the face of Christ in human language, meant to be heard with faith. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep John 18:2 close to me. Let “And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: because Jesus had often resorted…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
