Catholic Verse of the Day

Luke 18:25

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, November 20, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Luke 18:25

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Luke 18:25: “For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Luke 18:25. As I listen to “For it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
