Catholic Verse of the Day

Job 18:21

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, November 11, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

These then are the tabernacles of the wicked, and this the place of him that knoweth not God.

Job 18:21

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Job 18:21: “These then are the tabernacles of the wicked, and this the place of him that knoweth not God.”

Job belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Job 18:21. You said, “These then are the tabernacles of the wicked, and this the place of him that knoweth…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
