Today's Catholic verse of the day is Romans 16:12: “Salute Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute Persis, the dearly beloved, who hath much laboured in the Lord.”
Love in Scripture is never only a feeling. It is a decision to will the good of another, even when it costs patience, time, or pride. Romans comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.
Today's invitation under the theme of God's Love is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Romans 16:12 I hear, “Salute Tryphaena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute Persis, the dearly…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
