Theme: Daily Scripture
“Therefore, calling together every one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first: How much dost thou owe my lord?”
Reflection for Today
Let Luke 16:5 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Therefore, calling together every one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first: How much dost thou owe my lord?”
Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Luke 16:5, let “Therefore, calling together every one of his lord's debtors, he said to the first:…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
