Theme: God's Love
“If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love: as I also have kept my Father's commandments and do abide in his love.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us John 15:10: “If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love: as I also have kept my Father's commandments and do abide in his love.”
Love in Scripture is never only a feeling. It is a decision to will the good of another, even when it costs patience, time, or pride. The Church treasures John because the Gospel is the face of Christ in human language, meant to be heard with faith.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from John 15:10. As I listen to “If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love: as I also have kept my…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
