Theme: Peace
“And after they had spent some time there, they were let go with peace by the brethren unto them that had sent them.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Acts 15:33: “And after they had spent some time there, they were let go with peace by the brethren unto them that had sent them.”
The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Peace is one of the first things anxiety steals. Christ does not deny our storms; He offers a peace that can remain even while the waves are still high.
If nothing else remains from this page, let one phrase of Acts 15:33 remain. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Acts 15:33 close to me. Let “And after they had spent some time there, they were let go with peace by the…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
