Catholic Verse of the Day

Exodus 14:18

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Saturday, June 24, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in his chariots, and in his horsemen.

Exodus 14:18

Reflection for Today

Let Exodus 14:18 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in his chariots, and in his horsemen.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Exodus is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Exodus 14:18. You said, “And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be glorified in…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
