Catholic Verse of the Day

Revelation 13:6

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Thursday, June 22, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven.

Revelation 13:6

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Revelation 13:6: “And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven.”

A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings. Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Revelation 13:6. You said, “And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
