Theme: Gratitude
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name.”
Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Hebrews 13:15: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name.”
Hebrews comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Write one sentence of response in a notebook or phone note: what you hear God asking, promising, or healing. Then do one small act that matches that sentence.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Hebrews 13:15, let “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say,…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
