Catholic Verse of the Day

Luke 13:29

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Thursday, June 15, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And there shall come from the east and the west and the north and the south: and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

Luke 13:29

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Luke 13:29: “And there shall come from the east and the west and the north and the south: and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.”

Luke does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Luke 13:29, let “And there shall come from the east and the west and the north and the south: and…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
