Theme: Daily Scripture
“For if they were able to know so much as to make a judgment of the world: how did they not more easily find out the Lord thereof?”
Reflection for Today
Let Wisdom 13:9 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “For if they were able to know so much as to make a judgment of the world: how did they not more easily find out the Lord thereof?”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Wisdom belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Wisdom 13:9 close to me. Let “For if they were able to know so much as to make a judgment of the world: how did…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
