The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be any that understand and seek God.

Psalms 13:2

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Psalms 13:2: “The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be any that understand and seek God.”

The Psalms have given voice to every mood of the believer: praise, tears, trust, and longing. What Israel prayed, the Church still sings. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Family is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Psalms 13:2 close to me. Let “The Lord hath looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there be…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
