Catholic Verse of the Day

Esther 13:18

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, May 30, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Prayer

Prayer

And all Israel with like mind and supplication cried to the Lord, because they saw certain death hanging over their heads.

Esther 13:18

Reflection for Today

Pause with Esther 13:18. Hear these words again: “And all Israel with like mind and supplication cried to the Lord, because they saw certain death hanging over their heads.”

We often wait to feel holy before we pray. Scripture gently reverses that: we pray, and holiness begins to find us. Esther, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Esther 13:18 close to me. Let “And all Israel with like mind and supplication cried to the Lord, because they saw…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
