Catholic Verse of the Day

Ecclesiastes 12:14

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Sunday, April 23, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And all things that are done, God will bring into judgment for every error, whether it be good or evil.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

Reflection for Today

Pause with Ecclesiastes 12:14. Hear these words again: “And all things that are done, God will bring into judgment for every error, whether it be good or evil.”

Ecclesiastes belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Ecclesiastes 12:14 close to me. Let “And all things that are done, God will bring into judgment for every error, whether…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
