Theme: Daily Scripture
“Or did I commit a fault, humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached unto you the Gospel of God freely?”
Reflection for Today
Pause with 2 Corinthians 11:7. Hear these words again: “Or did I commit a fault, humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached unto you the Gospel of God freely?”
2 Corinthians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through 2 Corinthians 11:7, let “Or did I commit a fault, humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
