Catholic Verse of the Day

Acts 11:17

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Tuesday, March 28, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Faith

Faith

If then God gave them the same grace as to us also who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ: who was I, that could withstand God?

Acts 11:17

Reflection for Today

The Church sets before us Acts 11:17: “If then God gave them the same grace as to us also who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ: who was I, that could withstand God?”

The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Faith is not pretending we have no questions. It is trusting Christ enough to keep walking while the answers are still unfinished.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Acts 11:17 close to me. Let “If then God gave them the same grace as to us also who believed in the Lord Jesus…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
