Theme: Faith
“She saith to him: Yea, Lord, I have believed that thou art Christ, the Son of the living God, who art come into this world.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with John 11:27. Hear these words again: “She saith to him: Yea, Lord, I have believed that thou art Christ, the Son of the living God, who art come into this world.”
The Church treasures John because the Gospel is the face of Christ in human language, meant to be heard with faith. Belief grows less by argument alone and more by fidelity: returning to prayer, returning to Mass, returning to mercy.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from John 11:27. As I listen to “She saith to him: Yea, Lord, I have believed that thou art Christ, the Son of the…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
