Pause with Revelation 10:2. Hear these words again: “And he had in his hand a little book, open. And he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth.”
Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Revelation 10:2. As I listen to “And he had in his hand a little book, open. And he set his right foot upon the sea,…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
