Catholic Verse of the Day

Romans 10:12

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Thursday, February 17, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him.

Romans 10:12

Reflection for Today

Let Romans 10:12 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him.”

Romans comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.

Prayer

Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Romans 10:12 close to me. Let “For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all,…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
