Catholic Verse of the Day

Acts 10:48

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Wednesday, February 16, 2028, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they desired him to tarry with them some days.

Acts 10:48

Reflection for Today

Pause with Acts 10:48. Hear these words again: “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they desired him to tarry with them some days.”

The Acts of the Apostles remind us that the Church is not a museum of holy memories. It is a living community moved by the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning. Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Acts 10:48, let “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
