Theme: Daily Scripture
“The Lord will not afflict the soul of the just with famine, and he will disappoint the deceitful practices of the wicked.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Proverbs 10:3. Hear these words again: “The Lord will not afflict the soul of the just with famine, and he will disappoint the deceitful practices of the wicked.”
Proverbs belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Proverbs 10:3 I hear, “The Lord will not afflict the soul of the just with famine, and he will disappoint…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
