Pause with Ecclesiastes 10:4. Hear these words again: “If the spirit of him that hath power, ascend upon thee, leave not thy place: because care will make the greatest sins to cease.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Ecclesiastes belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.
