Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Judges 10:7: “And the Lord being angry with them, delivered them into the hands of the Philistines, and of the children of Ammon.”
Judges is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Holy Trinity, I receive today's verse with the Church. Keep Judges 10:7 close to me. Let “And the Lord being angry with them, delivered them into the hands of the…” guard my thoughts from morning until night, and let my life quietly agree with Your word. Amen.
