Theme: Gratitude
“That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.”
Reflection for Today
Let 2 Corinthians 9:11 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.”
2 Corinthians comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Before the day runs away, sit with this verse for two quiet minutes. Say it slowly. Notice which word stays warm in the heart, and carry that word into one conversation.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through 2 Corinthians 9:11. You said, “That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity which worketh…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
