Theme: Creation & Beginning
“And know not that thou art our God, who destroyest wars from the beginning, and the Lord is thy name.”
Reflection for Today
Pause with Judith 9:10. Hear these words again: “And know not that thou art our God, who destroyest wars from the beginning, and the Lord is thy name.”
The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves. Judith, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.
Today's invitation under the theme of Creation & Beginning is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Judith 9:10. You said, “And know not that thou art our God, who destroyest wars from the beginning, and the…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
