The Church sets before us Tobit 9:12: “And when all had said, Amen, they went to the feast: but the marriage feast they celebrated also with the fear of the Lord.”
Peace is one of the first things anxiety steals. Christ does not deny our storms; He offers a peace that can remain even while the waves are still high. Tobit, received in the Catholic canon, shows courage, fidelity, and providence when God's people are tested.
As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.
Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Tobit 9:12. As I listen to “And when all had said, Amen, they went to the feast: but the marriage feast they…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
