Catholic Verse of the Day

Genesis 9:17

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, November 29, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

Creation

And God said to Noe: This shall be the sign of the covenant, which I have established, between me and all flesh upon the earth.

Genesis 9:17

Reflection for Today

Pause with Genesis 9:17. Hear these words again: “And God said to Noe: This shall be the sign of the covenant, which I have established, between me and all flesh upon the earth.”

Genesis is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

As you hold this verse, do not force a dramatic feeling. Ask only for faithfulness. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for speaking through Genesis 9:17. You said, “And God said to Noe: This shall be the sign of the covenant, which I have…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
