Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Friday, November 19, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And Jesus stretching forth his hand, touched him, saying: I will, be thou made clean. And forthwith his leprosy was cleansed.

Matthew 8:3

Reflection for Today

Today's Catholic verse of the day is Matthew 8:3: “And Jesus stretching forth his hand, touched him, saying: I will, be thou made clean. And forthwith his leprosy was cleansed.”

Matthew does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Matthew 8:3, let “And Jesus stretching forth his hand, touched him, saying: I will, be thou made…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
