Pause with Wisdom 8:3. Hear these words again: “She glorifieth her nobility by being conversant with God: yea, and the Lord of all things hath loved her.”
If this verse speaks of love, it invites a question that is quietly demanding: whom am I being asked to love more concretely today? Wisdom belongs to the wisdom books, where faith meets daily decisions. Holiness is not only for extraordinary moments; it is learned in ordinary choices.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. Pray a decade of the Rosary with this verse in mind. Ask Mary to teach you how to keep God's word and ponder it, as she did.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Wisdom 8:3. You said, “She glorifieth her nobility by being conversant with God: yea, and the Lord of all…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
