Theme: Peace
“I am a wall: and my breasts are as a tower since I am become in his presence as one finding peace.”
Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Song of Solomon 8:10: “I am a wall: and my breasts are as a tower since I am become in his presence as one finding peace.”
Song of Solomon is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church. Peace is one of the first things anxiety steals. Christ does not deny our storms; He offers a peace that can remain even while the waves are still high.
God often changes us less by thunder and more by a line of Scripture that will not leave us alone. If the verse convicts you, do not panic. Take it to Confession when you can, or begin with an honest Act of Contrition tonight.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Song of Solomon 8:10, let “I am a wall: and my breasts are as a tower since I am become in his presence as one…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
