Theme: Work & Service
“Saying: Hurt not the earth nor the sea nor the trees, till we sign the servants of our God in their foreheads.”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us Revelation 7:3: “Saying: Hurt not the earth nor the sea nor the trees, till we sign the servants of our God in their foreheads.”
Revelation is often treated as a puzzle of fear. Catholic faith reads it as a book of worship and hope: the Lamb reigns, and history is not abandoned. The Catholic way of reading is never solitary for long. We read with the Church, with the saints, and with the poor Christ still loves.
Today's invitation under the theme of Work & Service is simple and serious. If possible, bring this line to Mass or to a brief visit before the Blessed Sacrament. Let Christ finish in silence what the verse began in your thoughts.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through Revelation 7:3. You said, “Saying: Hurt not the earth nor the sea nor the trees, till we sign the servants of…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
