Theme: Daily Scripture
“And behold, he speaketh openly: and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers known for a truth that this is the Christ?”
Reflection for Today
The Church sets before us John 7:26: “And behold, he speaketh openly: and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers known for a truth that this is the Christ?”
The Church treasures John because the Gospel is the face of Christ in human language, meant to be heard with faith. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.
Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. If the verse consoles you, do not rush past the comfort. Gratitude is also a form of obedience.
Prayer
Lord God, thank You for speaking through John 7:26. You said, “And behold, he speaketh openly: and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers known…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
