Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is Mark 7:13: “Making void the word of God by your own tradition, which you have given forth. And many other such like things you do.”
Mark does not give us a distant memory of Jesus. It places us in His company, where every word can become prayer. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Prayer
Father of mercies, I bring You this day and this verse from Mark 7:13. As I listen to “Making void the word of God by your own tradition, which you have given forth. And…,” heal what is anxious in me, correct what is proud, and strengthen what is willing to love. Amen.
