Catholic Verse of the Day

Hebrews 6:6

Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible verse for Monday, August 30, 2027, with reflection, prayer, and a link to the full chapter.

Theme: Daily Scripture

And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves the Son of God and making him a mockery.

Hebrews 6:6

Reflection for Today

Let Hebrews 6:6 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves the Son of God and making him a mockery.”

Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. Hebrews comes from the apostolic age, when the first communities were learning how to live the Gospel in ordinary struggles. The Church still listens here for guidance.

Today's invitation under the theme of Daily Scripture is simple and serious. Share this verse with someone who needs encouragement, not as advice from above, but as a gift you yourself are trying to live.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Hebrews 6:6, let “And are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance, crucifying again to themselves…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
