The Church sets before us Amos 6:12: “For behold the Lord hath commanded, and he will strike the greater house with breaches, and the lesser house with clefts.”
In Amos, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. Read in Catholic faith, this is not a decorative sentence for social media. It is a living word meant to convert, console, and send us back into ordinary life with a quieter heart.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You still teach Your disciples through Sacred Scripture. Through Amos 6:12, let “For behold the Lord hath commanded, and he will strike the greater house with…” become more than a memory. Make it light for my work, patience for my home, and courage for my vocation. Amen.
