Reflection for Today
Today's Catholic verse of the day is 1 Chronicles 6:48: “Their brethren also the Levites, who were appointed for all the ministry of the tabernacle of the house of the Lord.”
Scripture rarely flatters us. It loves us enough to tell the truth, and then it stays with us while we learn to live that truth. 1 Chronicles is part of the long story of salvation. Catholics receive it as inspired Scripture, a word that prepares the heart for Christ and still nourishes the Church.

Lord God, thank You for speaking through 1 Chronicles 6:48. You said, “Their brethren also the Levites, who were appointed for all the ministry of the…” I do not want to rush past these words. Quiet my mind, warm my heart, and help me live what I have heard with faith, hope, and charity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
