Let Lamentations 5:21 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “Convert us, O Lord, to thee, and we shall be converted: renew our days, as from the beginning.”
In Lamentations, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.

Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit. Open the Scriptures to me as You opened them to the apostles. In Lamentations 5:21 I hear, “Convert us, O Lord, to thee, and we shall be converted: renew our days, as from the…” Give me understanding, give me desire, and give me the grace to obey with joy. Amen.
