Let Jeremiah 5:13 speak first, before our plans and worries do: “The prophets have spoken in the wind, and there was no word of God in them: these things therefore shall befall them.”
In Jeremiah, the prophetic word unsettles comfort and awakens hope. God loves His people enough to call them back, and enough to promise a future. A single verse can meet us differently depending on the season we are in: grief, gratitude, fatigue, or new beginnings.
